Serkan Inci
Serkan Inci was born on 15 June 1987 in Istanbul, Turkey. He completed his primary education with honours at Orhan Sinan Hamzaoglu Primary School. Coming from a family of Thessaloniki immigrants, he developed a strong interest in computers and the internet from an early age, launching his first website in 2002.
Although his family encouraged him to pursue a military career, Inci opposed hierarchical systems and deliberately chose not to complete the entrance exams. After graduating from Istanbul Anatolian Maritime Vocational High School, he initially dreamed of becoming an engineer. While this dream did not materialise, he gained nationwide recognition through the platform he founded — Inci Sozluk.
At the age of 17, he decided to pursue university education abroad and enrolled at Varna University in Bulgaria. In December 2009, he founded Inci Sozluk, which, along with the Incicaps project, played a significant role in the early development of social media culture in Turkey.
Serkan Inci continues to manage Inci Sozluk and its related brands. He speaks English, Russian, and Bulgarian.
